At the tire store today looking at some Bridgestones (figured might as well be there as one of the tires on the D/A wasn't doing to good of a job holding air). Got talking to the guy about my next set of tires after the GM ones (LT245/75R 16) are worn out. They are the E rated and molded into the sidewall info says load range 3035 pounds at 60 lbs preassure, or something to that effect. The tires he wanted to sell me was the Bridgestones A/T REVO. Good looking tire, a little more agressive tread pattern that the OEM's, $509 for four mounted and balanced out the door. These didn't have the E rating on the sidewall and load info says 2025 lbs at 60 psi.
You can see in my sig. what I pull, that goes down the road about 7400#. As far as carring anything, it probably is already there, the fiberglass deck on the box.
What I am asking about is the load carrying difference and does that 1000# make that much difference, or is this a different REVO that others are buying when pulling the 5er's or travel trailers? And of course the REVO's could go on right away, but he waould have to see if he could order the same tires as was already on the D/A. Any insight is, as always, greatly appreciated.
