Hey all. I have a 2003 duramax that just hit 100,000 miles. it has run great since i bought it new and i have never had any problems with it but recently it will start up fine when it is cold and run great however when i turn it off and then go to turn it on again it will be very hard to start or just not start at all. it cranks fine and sounds ok it just takes forever to start or will not start at all. any one have any problems like this or know whats going on? thanks alot.

it may be losing its prime check your bleeder screw and make sure the o ring is in tact that also could be getting into an injector issue.

I have replaced the fuel filter twice and o ring is in tact. its not loosing its prime because it starts fine when it cools down. so i am leaning more towards an injector issue. anyone with any input on this? thanks alot for the reply.

If it starts fine when cold, but hard starts when warm it's probably injectors. Mine did the same thing. I had to crank for a long time before it would fire. I had 2 bad injectors, dealer replaced all 8 under the special policy.Do a search here and all your questions on the policy will be answered. Ask around to find the best dealer in your area.
