Has anyone ever taken their truck into a dealer and they said they wouldn't cover work under warranty because of mods that you've done and then you took your truck to another dealer after removing mods and was able to get work repaired under warranty?

This is a chance you take when you mod a truck, problem with the dealers is that a good dealer will log the truck info with GM and the info may pop up at another dealership when the history of the vehicle is checked. Not all dealers will do this but a good dealer will do it to cover GM. I have seen this before at the dealer i worked at, if a new customer came in with a serious warranty problem then a history check was done to see what work had been previously done by another dealer.

More than likely they have red flagged your warranty in GMVIS. Send me your VIN and I will tell you for sure, or PM me and we can go from there.
