I haven't had any trouble with my 2007.5 for the first 10K miles. It finally called for an oil change and I dutifully took it to my local dealer to be serviced. It's only been about a thousand miles or so since and I have already had the "Clean exhaust filter" message appear three times! I still drive it the way I have for the first 10K miles and still buy my fuel at the same stations.
Could this occur if they didn't use the low ash oil that the manual calls for. You think the dealer would know what oil to use, but it's not been the first time they have goofed something up.

Even if they did use the wrong oil, in a thousand miles I doubt there would be so much oil burnt that the regens couldn't clear the DPF. You don't say and don't have your sig filled out, but I assume you are stock.
Do you idle a lot? A lot of stop n go? It has been pretty well documented that if you do not do regular hiway driving, regens will be compromised and/or incomplete, which could lead to your exhaust message

I think it's unrelated.........a coincidence. The amount of oil these trucks are burning is minute..........and there's still plenty of guys dumping Marvel Mystery Oil and 2-stroke oil in the tank that aren't having regen issues (yet that is). I can't imagine, unless you have something else wrong, or you're using some additive that the DPF doesn't like, that even with the wrong oil, the truck has burned anywhere near enough to plug the DPF.
I'm thinking, either to short of a commute to work, or it's idling a lot in the morning. Maybe when it was warmer out, your truck was just squeakin' in a regen, and now it's not finishing them because it's taking your truck 2 or 3 minutes extra to reach operating temp. Run it down the hwy for 30 minutes and see if the problem goes away for a tank of fuel.

Thanks for the responses. It is a stock truck. One of them did occur when I was doing a lot of driving around town ( I was showing some out of town relatives around). I do spend about an hour a day on the freeway to and from work. I had been using the remote start on the chilly mornings, I guess I will have to hold back from doing that.
