Does the LB7 down pipe literally bolt right in place on the LLY? What other parts do I need for the swap?

Yes. Well technically that is not the down pipe bat that is what everyone calls it. I assume you are talking about the pipe with the 90 degree bend and the cat correct?

Yes Max, that pipe...I was going to order everything from dealer. Do I need a flange or any hardware that is not already on the LLY?

Not as far as I know. I'd be interested to know the part # and what its costs.

why would you order a pipe from the dealer? Aftermarket can save you money

edit: You must be removing the cat on stock exhaust..LOL

its not hard to remove, but you do have to remove a bracket that attaches to the tranny then you can remove the front pipe with cat towards the front of the tranny area. otherwise its fairly easy.

The pipe I think yall are talkin about is not the down pipe but the intermediate between the down and cat Yes? The down pipe comes off the turbo and goes about 15 inches DOWN to the intermediate? Does anyone know if this lly pipe off the turbo is a rolled pipe, or flat pipe along the firewall?

The pipe from the turbo for the LLY and LB7 are shaped the same, "EXCEPT" the LLY has an integral catalytic converter welded in the pipe.

Yes we are talking about the middle pipe, just no one calls it that... There is no replacement for the true downpipe... That pipe looks to be the same on the lly and the lb7, it really can't be any bigger and fit near the firewall anyway...

I wouldn't mention it except that the guy right above you asked, but the pipe with the cat is the middle pipe. Just that no one calls it that, it bolts to the one that comes from the turbo. There is no aftermarket replacement for the pipe directly off the turbo.
