I tried to find the G0304 and it comes up as the VATS relearn count. With the 2003 you can't get rid of all the defuel yet. If you find the ECM B0741 table you can set it all to 100 or whatever your max fuel volume commanded is and it will limit as much as you can at this point. The TCM portion is in Beta and hopefully will be released soon. Also on a stock transmission you will definately hurt it if you get rid of the defuel.

so whats your reccomendation leave it how it was stock or add a few % to the entire table. i added 30% to the table and was wondering if that was going to be too much for a stock trans. also if somebody could explain better what this table does when you adjust the #'s. there description for it isnt worth a dam.

Thank You
Jared

The TCM commands a defuel and the ECM bases the defuel on torque. This table is referenced to torque and rpm. The numbers in the table are fuel quantity. The higher the number the more fuel. It's not a table you can just add or subtract to the whole thing. If you study your logs you can see where the shift defuel is occurring and adjust it accordingly.

You might want to do some logging and study what things do. It takes time and patience to learn this tool. I've had it for over 2 years now and I'm still learning.

any real method for correlating fuel qty to torque values, at least in the defuel tables?

The short answer is this:

The TCM request a numerical value that the ecm is to defuel to based on rpm and TPS%.

The ECM tables, if altered incorrectly will either cause a defuel of too much or not enough as they work hand-in-hand with the TCM requests for tq reduction on the shifts.

A log is what will tell you what is happening, but at some point the tcm tables will be out of beta and that will make the shifting a bit easier to manipulate.

tony what would cause the oppisite to happen? i have the beta running now and love it but sometimes it will flare or rev the shift. never a consistant issue to be able to pin point it. i have tried loggin it and i cant seem to get it to do it while logging. it like the old saying that it never makes the noise when the mechanic is working on it:D
