The past couple weeks it has been raining here in Sunny California ):h but over the weekend it was sunny and I had time to wash, wax and vacuum out my truck. When I pulled the floor mat out of the front passenger side the entire carpet was soaked. I haven't had any passengers in my truck in weeks so I know it wasn't tracked in during the rain. I looked under the truck for a hole somewhere that might have come unplugged but no luck. Has anyone else had this problem before? If so, what did you do to fix it?

Thanks,
Jeff

YES! And sorry, I have no answer. I'm 4 hours N. of you and after EVERY (heavy) rain, have the same problem. ONly on the passenger side. Luckily I have Husky Liners so it only pools up but it's concerning.

I took my truck in and they *said* they "tested" it and it had no leaks but the water doesn't lie and now I find someone else with the same problem. However, I notice your ride is a different year.

I began to question if it was something I did. The only work I've done that might impact that side of the truck is marker lights and a diamond tread step plate.

Do you have either?

The marker lights were the first suspect since that involved holes in the roof, but I siliconed that stuff heavy, and had absolutely no water on my headliner so I doubt it.

Then I thought it might be water splashing *up* as I hit puddles on the way home, coming in through the gap between body/door and that the step plate might have increased this gap. But my doors close smoothly and fit the body flush, and I can feel no air rushing in through there when I drive, and there's no water residue between the door and the floor mat where the water is puddled up.

So, that leaves me with it possibly coming in through the door seal gasket, or perhaps the air vent. Door seal gasket seems like most likely suspect. It seems to happen even when the truck is parked so water hitting at a forward velocity doesn't seem to cause it to happen more - seems more related to the heavy volume of constant water coming down on the truck in a stationary position.

I'd be real curious for other people's feedback. Might be as simply as a faulty door gasket seal. I'd seen that running a dollar bill between the gasket and body with the door closed would be one way to see if you have a gap.

I to have the husky liners and mine overlap the door plate. So, I can't see how it would run up under them, water runs downhill unless it it splashed up or forced up. I don't have marker lights or the diamond step plates. I will have to pull up my carpet and have my son spray the hose under the truck this weekend. Unless someone else had this problem and fixed it. Anyone?

Thanks.

Check the rubber boot that protects and seals the wires between the door and the body. My floor board on my last truck did the same thing and I finally found out that the boot was not seated completely. It is a two piece plastic/rubber seal that easily leaks where the body meets the boot...........

Hope it helps
