Hey everyone, hope this is the right forum to put this. Anyway, anyone ever use any of their additives (RBP'S DIESEL ADDITIVE (http://www.rollingbigpower.com/products/?sfID1=12&productID=6) or High Performance Diesel Additive (http://www.rollingbigpower.com/products/?sfID1=12&productID=5)) before? They do everything there but they also sell their own additives.

I just picked up a bottle of the High Performance Diesel Additive today. Their shop is 3 mins from my house. Here is what that product claims:

" Features

Improves fuel economy by 10%
Eliminates the formation of algae and harmful acids
Decarbonizes combustion chamber
Cleans injection system
Lubricates cylinder walls to prevent corrosion of metals in contact with diesel fuel
Only uses 1 oz. for every 32 Gallons of gas
Prevents waxing and gelling
Reduces exhaust smoke
Totally disperses water for complete combustion
Contains lubricity additives
Description:
5% Cetane Gain, Increases Horse Power, cleans diesel fuel build-up off your injectors and lubricates them. This will also increase your fuel mileage. If your fuel mileage is low; It is most likely due to your injectors.
Water is welcome almost everywhere-except in your diesel engine. Water in diesel fuel damages injectors, corrodes tanks and fosters the growth of bacteria. Our highly-concentrated Diesel Power Additive removes unwanted water to protect your engine and keep it running smooth. Diesel Power is also an all in one package which contains lubricity. Increase your engine's performance by giving Diesel Power a place in your engine today. "

Just wondering about this product. Had a friend use it and he noitice improvement in MPG and overall running/power conditions. So, it got some in the tank now.....we'll see.

Well seems like a few have looked at this thread but I guess no one has ever tried this product. IF you have, let me know what you thought of it.

I've looked, but I have a preferred product. FPPF Total Power.

No idea who's making the RBP stuff.

I bought a bottle of RBP's additive, and there is what appears to be little wax flakes floating in it. I should have returned it, cause I'm not putting it in my engine.

GM recommends Standyne, which is what I'm running now.

PS - I do not recommend adding 1oz additive per 32 gallons of gas for a diesel. Normally you will want to fill your truck with #2 diesel and some additive.

Just a common sense thing, but is it actually likely that 1oz in 32 gallons of anything will increase mileage 10% and cetane by 5%? I'd have to see that to believe it. Most additives require 8oz or more per tank.

Humm, didnt see any "wax stuff" in this bottle. Just trying different products out. Next is the Standyne and FPPF Total Power products.

BTW McRat, where in Corona are you? My cross streets are Sarfas Club and Greenriver Rd.

My shop is on Maple St and Pomona. I actually live in Norco at Corydon and River.

I could have gotten a bad bottle.

No, it's a laboratory. We use Coordinate Measuring Machines to do very precise measurements on manufactured parts.

I see Kennedy recommending FPPF Total Power. How does it compare to FPPF Fuel Power. I can buy the later @ QT when I fill up, so it's easy to get.

Fuel Power is merely a component of Total Power. Total Power is the "total"package which is why I run it.

Come to think of it, I'm reverse engineering an 07 quarter panel right now.
