Today I tested both the LLY Predator and the TTS Level 2 for LLY's (beta). Normally I would not report on specific performance of a pre-release item, but Steve at TTS said he didn't mind.

As I had mentioned before, the TTS has better drivibility than the Predator, even though the Predator ain't bad. Both are much smoother than the Edge LLY.

Again, no torque readings. Dynojet corrected 1.00-1.01.

Did 2 pulls in 4th gear, and pulls were erratic. It sounded like the tires spun on the rollers. 375'ish, but not good pulls.

Put it in 5th instead, and it smoothed out. Power was flat at 395rwhp with a spike to 397.7.

I tested both tunes back to back at the dragstrip, and they ran virtually identical ET's (14.5), but the TTS ran .5-1.0 mph faster through the lights.

Given the choice between the two as daily driver, I find myself running the TTS due to better stop-n-go traffic manners, and less low-rpm smoke. But the Predator is no slouch either.

Thanks for the update. I would assume that the TTS tune won't have the extra clatter that the predator does. You probably don't notice it where you live.

Does the TTS make the same engine noise increases as the predator?

The TTS rattles less, but I don't find it to be a significant problem with Predator either.

WARNING -

Neither of these tunes is recommended for bone stock trucks. Free flowing exhaust to reduce EGT's and transmission modifications are suggested. Towing uphill at 100mph will probably be fun for only a few minutes.

No box or programmer can be excluded from the engine noise as of yet. I have sold just about every box out there and I have gotten reports back from every make that they make noise. The LLY is a different beast fur sure! John
