When I was looking for my exhaust, I don't remember ever seeing a 6" system. That might be something custom you could do. I was on a jobsite late last summer and I saw an 07.5 GMC Sierra 2500 RC/LB that had at least a cat back custom system that was 7"!! It was MASSIVE! I would think you would have to run atleast a 5" by the trans and then open it up. This thing was truely custom, but with that little if any back pressure, he better have been putting down some huge HP.

There is no such thing as backpressure on a turbo charged engine.

:exactly:

You can make up a 6" system yourself pretty easily. Just go to a big rig shop, by the pieces you need, and put em together. I guess you could do the same with any size as big as you want, but you can forget your spare tire.

Why 6"? I'm going to explain it like another member did. "it's like getting a 2" garden hose to get more flow, but using a 1" spicket." I've got 5" on mine with a 4" downpipe, just for the sound. If you're looking for a exhaust and not set on 6", send me a pm and i'll get you a good price on exhaust.

i have a 5" straight pipe including the downpipe (custom made). But if i am on a rough road the pipe just barley hits the drive shaft. I would hate to try to fit a 6" let alone a 7".

The port from you turbo is not but so big.. Steppin up to a dual 4 or single 5 would do the trick on any mod.. Why go bigger? If it is for the look, just buy a tip.

It can be done, cause i did it! I no of no kit though. Mine was a 10' stick of 6" aluminized pipe from a big truck store. All the bends i made my self doing miter cuts, it starts as soon as the forward pipe becomes straight where i hand formed a scavenge cone to adapt to the 6" pipe, a dimple was reqired at the trans crossmember, and i had to cut out and rebuild the right side driveshaft carrier bearing crossmember. The pipe exits between the spring perch and the frame @ 45* angle out in front of the tire! Pics in my garage, video and sound http://media.putfile.com/duramax-diesel-showboatin
Sounds hellacious, scares people too!

Feel free to ask!
