i installed an scIV with 1056 in my friends truck everything went pretty smoothly and all shifts up or down are fine except the 3-4 upshift. downshift from 5-4 is fine had a p1711 press switch e code when i first started it but after clearing it no codes have come back, is the e shift solenoid sticking ? i have another valve body i'm going to do the trans go mods to and try monday, any other thoughts or ideas, mike l ? eric m ?

did you reset the taps it took mine a while to learn. When I drive like a grandpa for a while then hammer it will flare every once in a while

This is installed in my truck.. Now when you drive normal like 20% throttle it shifts perfect. Just like it should.... But under a lil power it skips or flares but they are getting shorter.... Any info???

Yes we reset the taps a couple times..... How long did it take to re-learn??

Give it time. Keep letting it shift up through the gears, gradually working your way up to WOT shifts.

When you re-set the taps it starts the whole proccess over.

I believe Mike L said mine did that some too until it learned, and is normal.

Mine did the same thing when I changed the tune after the SCIII was installed. It took a while, about 50 or 60 miles, then it cleared up and now it shifts real nice.

Give it ten or fifteen driving cycles it'll get noticably better. each cycle should get up to operating temp and stop and go for ten to fifteen minutes minimum

the 01 TCM's take a while to learn sometimes. Work up to it slow and as it settles down, push it harder. Dont beat it hard while its acting stupid
