I just bought an 01 2500HD Duramax (82000). I had read on here that there were Tranny Probs with these trucks. I thought something was wrong because it was having a hard time shifting and then I limped, and couldn't get over 2000 RPM. after some searching on here for the code I got (P0093) I found that the Fuel Filter could cause this.

I changed it and it runs really well now. The WIF had gobs of crap on it. cleaned it all up new filter and wa la!

Just wanted to share this, and thank you guys for all the info.

re: the fuel filter, good idea to change it before the 10k mark, I change mine 4-7k, and also keep a spare, just in case..you could get some bad fuel.
