Well I have been driving around daily with no trailer on level 4 for the last few months and I finally did the mileage out, seems like im getting 13.5 mixed highway and city. I was kinda expecting a little more but then again the right foot does get heavy sometimes. I turned it up to level 5 last night, in hopes of getting better mileage ;) hoping that with the higher tunes most people have been getting better mileage, I will report back in probably 4 days when I piss through this tank.. god i drive way too much. Anyone else with banks returning similar results?

Mine has been on 5 for some time now. I haven't seen good mileage since I installed the 6-gun.

I have tried all of the levels hoping to get better fuel economy, but did not notice a difference from level 2 to 6. I average 15-16 empty city/highway and 18 empty on the highway.

I'm only getting about 15-16 on the hiway at 75 on level 3. However we are on winter blend fuel now. It increases to 17 in the summer. I've not seen any change from levels 1 thru 6 when on cruise at 75. My brother's LB7 - stock gets 20 under the same conditions.

ok so I just went through that tank on level 5 and it looks like I got 14.76 slight improvement which is good, I dont think im ready for lvl6 yet everyday, the roads are still too slippery. Anyone running lvl6 daily? what are your results for mileage?
thanks

I called Banks on this and they told me the best mileage you should see will be on Level 5. I'm getting 14-15 in city and 18-19 highway.

Just keep in mind that the engine is likely running lean and as such one should, I say should, see an increase in engine temps. But how do ya measure it..?? Is that even measurable. The T-stat will just open sooner and the gauge temps will stay same.?..hmmm. So then is it really a concern if the engine is running leaner..?? (maybe only in the summer time.?), I just don't know.
Anyway, i was thinking......
If you guys want to compare mpg with some measure of accuracy, then might I politely suggest you document the following: and hopefully post it ( I'm real interested to see accurately measured mpg from lly ecm's)
Hand Calc the following:
Length of trip..am suggesting something that uses close to a full OEM tankfull.
Distance travelled
Highway/City or mixed driving
Amount of fuel used
Avg mpg
At that time Note variances
Wind speed/Direction
Vehicle Travel Direction
Type Road travelled: Mountain-grades, prairrie, rolling hills etc.
Road conditions
Season of the year
Vehicle MT.? if not, estimate extra weight (incl. humans eh.!)
Trailer: Yes or No: If yes, note type (not the brand but 5'er, TT, Hybrid, PopUp etc.)
If yes - Size/# axles/weight: (scaled - loaded-not dry)
Programmer yes/no, if so, what model
if so what level. Stacked.? if so, with what?
Tire size differential ratio (ECM is set for stock IIRC)
Transmission: 5/6. I am assuming that there are 6spd lly's out there..?? - If so, I'd love to talk to ya BTW.
Only other thing I would add is to ask about air flow caabilities of the vehicle: Filter & exhaust. If I've missed anything, I can be corrected...easily (just ask my wife.!).! yes dear.
cheers, I'm Runnin a Banx w/PDa as well.

steakman,
good points, I am running all terrain 285's which I know take away a few mpg from experience, also were running on winter blend as well, so thats not helping any. Other than that truck is stock. So we shall see once the warmer weather comes and my exhaust comes how much if any it improves.
Thanks

I have been running on level 3 and get around 17 highway, 13 city. Varies on idle time. Gonna have to try level 5 and see if I can get better.

I get better mileage at the lower levels I get 16 city driving turned to stock and 13-14 when I turn it up to level 4 or 5 probably because I have my foot in it more at the upper levels
