: Bluetooth Handsfree kit?

Has anyone successfully installed a Bluetooth handsfree cellphone kit in a recent Silverado/Sierra? If so, which one? How tightly integrated with the built-in audio system was it? Did it mute the built-in audio system? Did it use the built-in audio system for speakers?

Thanks,

Mike

I dont have it mated to my truck but I have the v710 motorola and 810 bluetooth earpiece. The earbud has a short mic boom that swings open and turns on and mates to phone.

I can then take/make a call. I like the NO WIRES a lot.

I also have the wilson 10db gain mag antenna and verizon service.

Its an awesome setup.

I was reading on the Verizon website that you can share minutes between your cellphone and OnStar now. I'm not familiar with the BlueTooth kit that Mike was talking about, but I'm wondering if somehow you could link both phones (OnStar and Regular Cell) together, package the minutes, and have BlueTooth functionality.

It seems like that would be ideal ---

Unfortunately, I have an '02 and it's an analog OnStar system -- no way for me to mate the Verizon plans with it....

I originally wanted the in truck handsfree bluetooth unit as well. That was until I bought a motorola 820 earpiece for $39.95. It rocks and you can use it everywhere not just your truck.............
