How accurate is the DIC fuel mileage? Only had my truck a week, so it's still on the first tank of gas so i havent hand calculated yet, but the DIC says i'm averaging 18.3 just running running around town. Do you think thats pretty close?? The truck is bone stock without a single mod

before I added my banks six gun the DIC was pretty accurate for me, as soon as you add a tuner, or change the tire size however they start to loose their accuracy

yes : right from the factory there within a 1/2 mile agallon mine was . the differance gets farther off when you change tire sizes, adding tuners and such. then you can still moniter fuel effi. just cant take the numbers serrious.

18.3 is very do-able, just remember to keep your foot out of it and keep the speed down on the highway. As stated above, they can be very close in the stock form. As soon as you do mods they get further and further off, and you must hand calculate. I would hand calculate now yourself, just to see how accurate yours really is.

my average had always been around 12-13 guess I got a heavy foot? She's got 45,000 milles and I didnt put on the enforcer till 30,000 didnt notice a real difference. Now with EFILive I can drink some real fuel but I can slip the trans on demand!!!

Running stock around town and to/from work DIC reads about 2MPG high. When loaded down and stock mostly freeway miles it is spot on??

Download the preadator 65Hp tune Dic is about 7-8 MPG high.

running around town the DIC is off a little. Crusing dow the highway it is a little better but all of that is only in fuel consumtion. When you want accurate MPG don't forget to factor in new tire sizes.

Wow...18.3 is better than I have ever gotten! Bone stock...drive like an old man! Usually around 14 to 15. 4000 miles on the truck!

During the summer I was getting 19/20 now in the winter it has gone to 17/18. Still is much better than the old gasser I had. No complaints here!

Mine has been off as much as 3 to 3.5 mpg.

I couldnt get better than 14mpg before I ditched the dpf.

I've found the DIC on this truck much more accurate than previous trucks from GM, not varying from hand calc'ed which I do on every tank. Just returned from an 800 miler last night; 18.9 east, and 18.2 back home west on the NYS thruway (i90)........65-68mph, Nokians at all four corners, and #1 blend.................I'm not complaining!!

My MPG dic is close but but not perfect. The gallons used is almost perfect! Even with an Edge gallons used is dead on. 15-16 mpg with all around town driving like an old lady.

mine is close as well, and the fuller i fill the tank (almost running out of the neck) is when its at its most accurate i've found.
