I did a search and read all of the posts on the Truespeed. What I want to know is: Will it bring the Ally's shift points back to where they should be when running larger tires? Also, from what I read I must go to the dealer to get the ABS recalibrated for larger tires. Sound right?
TIA

I just put one on mine and it works great call chris at 4 wheel customs he is a vendor here his price was better than I could find anywhere. I definitely notice better shifts now.

I put one in and it was a pain to get calibrated. We had to drive down the expressway and watch the mile markers. Luckily we had a sign every tenth of a mile. Lots of adjustments were needed, even after following the directions that came with it. In my truck I have the Quadzilla box set to only adjust the rev limiter and correct for the larger tires when driving normally. I set it to the kill level when drag racing or truck pulling.

Censored , You're right. Just called them and the Tech. I talked to said he wasn't sure when one would be out, but it doesn't sound soon as he ended the conversation with "I'm not sure, but we do have to design a new module for it". That tells me they haven't even started.
Back to the drawing board. All I want is the shift points back:(. Putting the stock tire size back on is NOT an option-:t .

sollly,
get a predator and adjust for tire size. I had the tru-speed on my 03 8.1 w/ allison. It works great but is kind of a pain to install. you have to cut into a wire harness and then due some trial and error adjusting to get it right. A GPS is very helpfull for this. I bought the predator for my lly because the tru-speed wasn't out yet. I am glad I did and would not go with the tru-speed even if it was available. just my .02

So the Predator will feed the TCU the proper speed also to make the Ally shift right?

I think my tranny shifts good. Im pretty sure the transmission shifts due to the input shaft rpms and not due to speed. Someone else here knows for sure. I also have not gotten my ABS recalibrated on either truck and it seems to work just fine. sorry no definate technical answers just what I have experienced. If someone doesn't respond here I would contact someone at diablosport.com. Hope this helps mick
p.s. I have the edge/attitude and like the predator better as well. Hopefully edge gets things figured out. Even if they do it is still nice to have the diagnostic and code reading/erasing capabilities of the predator.
