I know if you have the right programmer you can get rid of the stock exhaust system and filters but what does it take besides the programmer? How do you eliminate all the filter parts? Oh and who sells a system?

no one sell and exhaust to elimate the DPF you just need to get and exhaust from an earler dmax truck. then get the programing (efi live) or an other program that elimate the regen.

There's several active threads about this.

Seach "DPF" and/or "Quadzilla"

The Quadzilla Stealth-2 has the DPF delete option and is around $400. Economy, +50, +70, +90, +110hp settings. Also adjusts for tire size change and raises speed limiter. Lots of other stuff too. Several threads about this very thing.

Anyway I can get more power? Shift on the fly display like my edge? Do I need to take my edge out? And can I Stack A module( Hyp max energy) on Quadsilla?

It's QuadZilla. I wouldn't suggest stacking, but sure, a few here have already. Shift on the fly has not come out yet for non-DPF. Not that I know of.

You can keep your edge for gauge purposes, though.

WAY under $1k. Our current special is under $750 in fact. There are several options as well, such as stainless and different programmers, which will bring the price up a bit. Let me know if I can help with anything.

Ouch... I paid $841. I guess timing is everything :)

The MBRP 6004409 turbo back system which is the '06 LBZ exhaust, I think, is what I have on my LMM with a Stealth 2

Its a good combo and truck runs very nice. Initial MPG improvement was over 2 MPG, but really impossible to tell as I only had 1000 miles on truck when mods done and its winter, so a lot of idling for warm up, etc.

So if you order a turbo back kit from a lbz truck it will bolt right up to the lmm?

capflya

Yes, because you are basically taking the entire stock exhaust off from the turbo back. Hence the name turbo back :D

I understand that the chassis is the same but it does have a different cab, and bed so i figured something may have changed in the bends of the pipes.

So when the old exhaust comes off what is to be done with all the lines running to the dpf filters?

Just remove them and store them for warranty issues that might arise.

Good question. What do you do with the two lines that come out of the DPF? Do they need to be blocked off or stay in the exhaust system(straight pipe)? Can you install quad V2 even if I have Juice Attitude (Keep display for Egt Readings) Do I need to change to Quad Commander??

The two lines coming from the DPF go to a pressure switch mounted on the frame. remove the two line and switch completely. The only thing left will be the 3 wiring connectors, which you want to tape up and protect fromthe elements.

So when you purchased the quadzilla stealth 2 did you have to download the ability to dpf delete, or did it come with that capability?

The Quad will come with standard tunes. You will need to upload the "No DPF" tunes from Quadzillas website.

Easy process and unlike other products, the Quad has no extra expense for the no-DPF

Is the Quad Macintosh compatible ?

capflya

If your mac has an intel CPU like mine you can run windows to use the updating utility. Quad's update files are .exe which is a windows file. so to answer your question, yes it is compatible as long as you can run windows on your mac.

Did you get better fuel mileage stock or with the quadzilla and the new exhaust system and what do you get now?

My best economy so far has been with my mods on the +90 setting. There are a lot of guys who say the +110 actually gives you the best economy IF you can keep your foot out of it.

I didn't like running it because its a HUGE tune and I don't want to compromise my trans

My experience is - ANY tune is better mileage, no question, than stock. Either by hand calc or by the DIC, any of the tunes seem to be an instant 2 mpg, at least.

Do you or anyone else know if the quadzilla or the ppe xcellerator is a better way to go? Heard anything good or bad about either programmer? Thanks

There are a lot of PPE zealots out there, and I'm kinda the same with the Quad. I admittedly do not know a whole lot about the PPE other than its a LOT more $$$ than the Quad when you add the No-DPF tunes.

I am very happy with the Quad Stealth 2

DSTRBD

I think its a matter of opinion and budget. The PPE is almost twice as much, but does have quite a bit more power as well. The PPE comes with the NO DPF tunes in it. With the Quad unit you have to upload them from Quads website (very easy).

I thought I had read here by many posters that you had to pay extra for the No-DPF tunes.

If not, I stand corrected...

EFI Live, HP Tuners, Quad, and PPE are the ones that "get around" the DPF features. It's amazing what a difference it makes to be rid of the DPF.
