Ever since my buddy took a ride in my truck he wanted to trade in his Ford. (Can't really blame him for that). I'm taking him to look at an 05 LLY that has an Edge Juce with ***. Cat back exhaust and Volant intake. I drove the truck today and it feels really good. It's from a dealer so the mod history is unknown.

Is there anyway to tell if any Transmission Mods were done to the Alli, i.e. Transgo, Converter etc. Without disassembly. Truck shifts better than mine.

Hell, mine might even have mods I don't no about. Could even be fully built.

Thanks all.

The people that actually know stuff will chime in, but from what I can remember, i think you can be able to see if it has the transgo by looking for the blue/green gasket thing, you might be able to see it in between one of the sections. Also, I think there is a little access plate you can take off and be able to see the torque converter, if it is purple or tan, you might have a converter and transgo at least, might even have a fully built under there

Funny I just got my truck from a dealer and it also has mods...I was wondering the same thing about the tranny and trying to figure out how I could tell without testing how far it will go before limping.

Check the color of the Torque Converter.

Check the color of the Torque Converter.

Is there an easy way to do that?

Pop the inspection cover out of the bell housing.

Put Edge on 5/5 and floor it!! If it limps going into 5th then there are no mods to the trans.!!:D
