I just got a PPE economy version,,it shows "tow performance in 90 hp" Is this safe to tow a 10,000# toyhauler through the mountains? I say NO. and stick to the 40 hp setting,,,but I will look to you guys for some real world on the PPE....

I tow with mine on the 180 tune. I have gauges and keep a close eye on temps, but no problem with real long grades and 23,000 lbs gross.

At the other end of the spectrum, can you run the highest setting on a Hot+2 if you're towing as long as you have a built tranny?

only if you dont want to slow down:D ive towed around 6k many times on the hot tune. works fine just have to watch egts and they usually stay pretty well in check

i tow all the time on the hot 2 just watch egts, most towed so far was 10000 with it up and you can keep them down very easy, just keep your foot out of it
PS i dont see to many steep grades though
