What are some mods that i need to do? I have a stock allison with 36's on it, and i dont want to blow it up. Also, when i am doing a burnout, when it shifts to second gear it is like it dies, how do i fix this? Please help me out. Is it safe to run the edge on level one all the time, what level can i safely go with a stock tranny? Thanks guys

The trans is good to about L3 for sure. The dead spot you feel in the shift is defuel. You can turn it off on the box. Trans is protecting it self.

regearing to 4.56s with anything larger than a 35 inch tire is always helpful

"What do i need to do to my tranny to hold the edge"

- better get on the horn to Eric or Mike and get a SC L3, ATS, or TTS set up, then you dont have to worry about, just rip it !!!

You can start with not doing burnouts !

I am gonna regear, but i dont have the cash right now to buy a fully built tranny, so i was thinking a convertor, and a shift kit, would this be pointless, like just a quick fix it but would break over time again?

Why are you still here? After you called one of the mods. "Dumb" you said you were leaving. I think you gotta a lot of nerve asking for help.

As Eric said the defuel is the edge box protecting the tranny during shifting. If you have the attitude you can shut this feature off but i'm not sure i would do that with those big tires already placing more strain on the tranny. Best bet is to keep it on level 3 for right now until you save up some pennies. Matt

Some people never learn, or they wind up learning the hard way.. I say throw it on LVL5 with no defuel and go for it.... Your trans will love it...:D

I also vote for leaving it in lvl3 until your tranny gets built.

A converter and shift kit will handle all the juice has to give.
