I know the transmission lines leaking on the 06 LBZ 2500HD is a common problem.
I just wondering when the lines start leaking would the fliud show up on the ground on the passenger side of the truck near the front ?
I noticed some red fluid (looked like trans fluid) on the ground yesterday, but I won't be able to look under it until the weekend.

I've had the same problem...just go to the dealer and get the part over the counter, I paid $42.15 for mine then installed in about 45 min. The stealer wanted $399 plus tax to install for something that on there pay chart was only 0.7 hrs.... friends at the local Cadillac dealer.

Yes I had my lines replaced under warranty about 4 weeks ago. Both lines were leaking pretty good. They had to get my lines from canada and it took 4 days to get. Thank goodness they paid for my rental.

Had both mine replaced a few weeks ago. Sunday I noticed one of the new lines is leaking.
I'm curious if guys in warmer climates are seeing leaking lines.
My hypothesis: The rubber shrinks enough when cold (under 25*) that high idle pushes a little fluid past the crimps. Once the fluid warms, the hose swells enough to seal off the leak.

UH Hellooo... warmer climate here checking in. I was checking my useless, shot, rancho front shocks yesterday (totally different rant, not 1 year old) and noticed dirt, oil on the shock, looked up and sure enough the lower line is leaking at the crimp. I am pissed to say the least:mad:. 46K miles on a so called heavy duty almost $40K truck, this is ridiculous. From the rattle in the dash, to the leaking tranny line to the grosly undersized tie rod's, and the tail lights falling off I am not impressed with this rig:rippedhan. My last 01 1500 had the knock sensors replaced at 100K, that's it, nothing else running a custom tuned ecm, ford keys, and a 3 inch body lift. 1 issue in 125K miles. Now that I am out of warranty I have all these issues. My 00 f250 7.3 was a fuel and drive truck even at 130K miles with just a front end rebuild at 100K. I am starting to miss that truck. How and the hell do we get gm to admit to the problem and issue a recall on the lines?? For all of the dissing of the ford 6.0 on the internet my buddies 06 6.0 has seen less shop time than my gmc purchased at the same time:eek:. I love the allison and duramax but that is where it ends. I just found a 03 f250 CC 4X4 7.3 lariat 75K miles that is starting to look good to me;). I am going at lunch to meet with my dealer's GM and the service manager. No way am I going to keep repairing a vehicle that I am paying a premium note for. GM better step up soon or this will be my last one.

So much for my hypothesis.

Yea, I blew that one right out of the water EH? The lowest temp we have had so far is around 30* and that was only 2-3 nights this year. Average is 65 day 45 night, lately anywhere from 75* one day to 60* the next then back to 70*-75* the next.:wtf:
While I do believe the colder climates will see this more often I was also hoping it was climate related but I guess not:rolleyes:. Seems to just be GM related;).

Took it to the dealer today, they replaced the lines under warranty in about an hour. Lets see how long these ones last. :)

So much for my hypothesis.
Can happen in warm climates but way more cases in cold ones...

I'm in a warm climate but I just spent a week in Utah so I've been keeping an eye out for leaks. So far, so good.
