Hello everyone,
I have an 06 CC GMC right now with a 5.3 gasser and a turbo on it.
Just doesn't have the low end grunt that I want so I think it is time to step up to the Dmax. Looking in the 04-06 range I would say. Something that would keep me around the same price range....around 25.
I will spend some time reading up on the site to find the goods and bads. I don't plan on towing much with it, just want a truck that will go fast and has nice driving characteristics around town.
I live in MA and will probably be taking it to Mass Diesel when I get it.

Did you ever run it through the 1/4 mile?

Haven't yet. It has some nice top end power once the rpm's get up there. I just want more down low where I spend most of my driving. I have no idea what it will run. If I still own it when spring comes around and the track opens I will take it up there.

It is a sleeper. Looks and sounds like stock (still has the stock muffler) until you hit the wastegate, then you can tell something is different. It is fun to drive if you are in boost, but just doesn't have the low end torque I would like to drive around town.
