Has anyone lifted a 99 or newer Suburban? If so how hard was it, what kind of ride did you get and what size tires are you running?

I lifted my 89 suburban 12" and put it on 44" tires. It was the old soild axle design however, so it wasn't nearly as complex as the IFS.

I'm considering doing a mod to my '05 Yukon XL 2500 that will require the use of body-lift pucks.

I have concerns that the additional 2" lift will increase the already top-heavy truck's center of mass unsafely high. The additional curb weight of the full body has got to have some drawbacks.

Additionally, I'd like to know if the extra height will allow the additional clearance needed to run H2 wheels and larger tires with out further body modifications or fender trimming.

Thanks,
-P.

I had a 93 that I put a put a 3" body lift and 33" tires under. No change to the ride at all. I now have an 01 Suburban that I want to lift but cannot afford th esuspension yet so I'm in hold mode.
