These are pictures of the clutches we pulled out of my stock transmission when we built it yesterday. The steels are on the left and the clutches are on the right. All the clutch material should be a redish color, not black or non existant

edit: the C1s are bent because they were welded together and had to be pried off the shaft.

Around between 450 and 500 HP for 25k miles and the last few days of it's life was in the upper 500s to mid 600s.

Hammer 4 ,
U will not be alright. The stock Allison on my '05 LLY begins to hate life with an additional 40HP/100 ft/lb setting. At 200 + your tranny will not be long for the world. Hey, it's only a $5k fix.

Did it ever limp, also what was happening when you thought it was time to call it quits? :D Also did you have the Transgo kit in it?

You did a good job anyway.

Now comes the best part, enjoying it !!!

I aready know mines baked, my WOT bursts have to be keapt short or she'll limp. I only add 75hp with the PMT but the injectors keep it super stock nasty with no tune. Just holdin out for tranny funding. and then rods, pistons, etc. will be due. Is it ever truly over?

Did it ever limp, also what was happening when you thought it was time to call it quits? :D Also did you have the Transgo kit in it?Yes and no. Right after I got my gauges put in I was having issues with my pyro gauge that only occurred when the temps got up to a certain point, but they didn't get there until I was going almost 90 mph at WOT. I was trying to replicate the temps by holding the brake and throttle at the same time. I ended up limping the trans while I was doing that, but I never limped it while racing or just driving it hard. The only mod the transmission had was a CoPilot. I decided it was time to call it quits when the truck lost all forward gears. :o:

With the power you're running you should be fine, but the bigger tires will add a little more stress to the transmission. For no more than it costs, and a little extra security, I would throw a Transgo Jr. in there. Several site vendors can get you set up with them and there is a sticky at the top of the Allison Aftermarket forum with a DIY install guide. Throw a good synthetic fluid in there and you should be good to go (until the next round of modifications ):h)

That's what welded the C1's together. Depending on how long you held it, that was the equivalent of lots of boosted launches.
