I have been experiencing hard starting with my 6.5 liter diesel. The glow plugs checked out OK but there was a fair amount of rust between the male and female contact between the wire and the glow plug. I wire wheeled the rust off of the glow plug contacts and the contacts got so thin I decided to treat the truck to a new set of Delco 60G's.

I am assuming that since there was so much corrosion between the two contacts, there must have been a ton of resistance causing the glow plugs not to work properly, possibly being the cause of the hard start condition.

My next question is, since there was so much corrosion between the the two contacts, I want to change the terminals on the wires. I am sure they are full of rust also. Do any of you guys out there know if someone is selling the contacts for the glow plug wires as a kit, or any source where I can just buy the terminals seperatly and have new contacts on both sides?

I found a crimp on connector at autozone that fits the glow plug flag connector, and the insulation on it is heat shrink, too... I took a glow plug in there and tested it to make sure it fit .... they are in a 2 pack, and they only had 2 packs, so I had to wait and go back for more after they got more in....
