I have been reading all the post but I have a question and while it is a dumb question I don't know the answer so here it is. When you are talking about Limpping the Trans what do you mean? What causes that and what is the fix for it? Also how do you tell if it is limp? Like I say might be dumb but I am new to all of this.

not positive but here's the extent of my knowledge on the subject...

it goes into limp mode if it has too much of a load on it like you added edge level 5 all the time riding like you stole it with no tranny mods. it puts itself in that mode so you cant do any damage to it. and when that happens it progressively gets easier and easier to limp it. not a good thing. you can tell if it's in limp mode when you can't take it above 2,000rpms.

im really knew to this stuff too, have you read the FAQ sticky for the allison on the top of this forum?
