Can anyone tell me what a good price is, for the General Motors Protection Planor (GMPP), that are sold through GM dealers, I'm interested in the Major Guard that has the 0 deductible, its my understanding that the price on the plans are negotiable just like the vehicle pricing.

The warranty is a commisionable item for the salesman, at least in Canada it is. I purchased my warranty after the fact which in hindsight wasn't the smartest thing to do. I purchased the 0 deductable complete coverage 6 years/120000KM . If I did this again I'd do it up front while I still had something to bargin with. The other plus of purchasing up front is that you can finance the warranty under the same terms as the truck. Pull the prices off the internet first then you know what your up against.
Just my 2 cents!!

Try www.gmoutlet.com. That's who I used for the wifes 2002 Yukon XL.IIRC the Major Guard bumper to bumper with 100 deductable was around 1100.00 for an extra 3 years and 36,000 added to the factory warranty. Sharp people to deal with and were at least 400.00 less that the dealer I bought from. Keep in mind that I bought this plan when her truck reached 35,990 miles. I'm happy..

The best in the US is Ken Fitchner at Fitchner Chevy. All the Corvette guys (including myself) on Corvetteforum.com buy their extended warranty from him. I bought one for my Vette and my wife's Yukon. I picked the 0 deductible plan. Sorry, I don't remember the price.
