I ordered a $239 "turbo back (yuk yuk)" 4" exhaust system from a company in Arkansas.
Never again. Lordy, never again. What a POS and PITA.
Even though my truck has the longest wheelbase, I still had to cut one pipe about a foot to get it to fit.
Instructions were like this: Install pipes, tighten clamps. ???? I've seen more explicit instructions on a condom.
It fit REALLY badly. Prying, hammering, and cussing were the techniques of the day. I kept whistling the Mickey Mouse Club song to myself to keep my sanity.
Aluminized mild steel with no muffler. Funny, I thought it was supposed to come with a muffler, but I wasn't going to use it anyways. Guess I should call them.
So, it's a straight through 4" system from the downpipe back. Not exactly sweet sounding, but when the turbo spools it sounds like jet taking off. The truck does feel a little quicker, maybe it was sound waves pushing me forward.
To take off your stock system:
Jack up right front of truck so tire is at least 8" in the air.
Remove right plastic fenderwell.
Remove downpipe clamp (11mm deep socket) it is right side rear of the motor behind the fenderwell.
Remove 4 15mm nuts that hold the intermediate pipe to the catback. They are about where the bed meets the cab.
Remove 2 13mm bolts that hold the bracket for the intermediate pipe rubber mount. These bolts screw into the transmission.
Now with the right amount of wiggling, the intermediate will go out the FRONT of the truck.
Spray WD40 on the 5? rubber mounts that hold the rest of the exhaust on. Push the pins out of the rubber. A pry bar helps.
The exhaust will come out the right front of the truck in one piece, at about a 30 deg angle to the driveshaft.
To install Ghetto pipe? Huh, I'd suggest buying a decent system instead. The time you waste trying to make it fit isn't worth the money saved.
