Thanks again guys appreciate the comments.

The lift is set at about 5". Running Deavers in the back with a 2" drop shackle- gives it a little bit more of a "cali lean" look than I would like ideally but it sure rides nice.

Love the look of a 20 with a 35 tire, just the right amount of sidewall, truck looks clean.

Appreciate the compliments.

Danny- the Back Spacing is 4.79 inches. I did do some minor trimming on the lower plastic valance under the bumper and to plastic on the back of the fenderwells.

Where's your torsion bars?

The 4-6" keeps them tucked up and hidden like factory.

Did you know the front sway bars on are trucks are hollow.

The kit shown in this tread does, but be careful Cognito released a cheaper torsion bar drop style kit recently.;) (I'm shopping)

That truck is beautifull!!!!! You say the rims are 4.79" backspace, so is that like 0 offset with a 9" rim. I can't belive how good it looks.

Ive got to figure out what i have. Mine are 18x9s. i love the look of the no tbar drops. im fighting between doing that kit or pulling my cognito arm and i found a killer deal on a 6-8 cst with upper arm. brand new in the box and the guy wants 1700. hard to pass up. i just wanna run 35s with the a arms almost flat. are you running the lift at 5 or 6 right now?

jmoods
02-17-2008, 06:46 PM
Danny- running at 5+ still about an inch left to crank. My primary objective with this lift was to keep the wheel gap between the tire and the fender as small as possible. I just like that look personally. So I am proably sacificing some ride/CV angle to get there but that was a good trade off for me. CST was in my top 2 that seems like a good price. Also saw a pretty sweet deal on a new in the box Cognito in the marketplace-just FYI.

Thats exactly what im trying to accomplish. I made the 325s fit when no one said they would. Well i guess they almost fit. Haha. Anyways i have the cognito heim steering and i hate it. No one else seems to have a problem but i pull the alignment out every time i put it in 4wd and hit the skinny pedal. On or off road. Drives me crazy. Im not even running keys, but maybe my arms are still too steep for power. Can you send pics of your trimming if its not too much trouble? I just pulled off my wheel and measured so i think that i have 4 1/2 backspace if i did it right. I just love the look of your truck but i dont want to end up with steep arms and have the same steering issues. IDK, maybe i just need to learn to drive. Again, my compliments on the looks.

Just Curious?????????????
1. Will those dual front shocks provide you access to replace the fuel filter every 10k miles?
2. or will they have to be removed each time?

jmoods
02-17-2008, 10:52 PM
Danny- I will get you some shots of the trimming tmr-no problem. Been laid up all weekend with the flu so I got nothing better to do.

I would think you may have a bit less trimming if any on LBZ...

Thanks 8.1 appreciate it.

GB87 used a hot knife and a cutoff wheel. Proably got some more significant trimming coming- I need to get the front down some to get rid of the cali lean and a would perfer not to raise the rear.

Looks nice. I had to do some trimming also on my cognito lift. My tires are just so wide it makes it hard.

That will make your truck look just about perfect then. Rake is good. Next you need color matched towing mirrors, those would look real good on there...I just really like that color though. I wish my truck wasn't white.

hmmm. I am after level:bigglasse. Yeah I am with you on the mirrors. I actually came out of a white Yukon. I have to park outside year round so this color seems like a win-win.
