I have a tire & service shop and also a dmaxx. I have a lot of customers come in with 2500's with the bearings bad in the hub assembely alot of them still under warranty. This seems to be a gm probelm is anyone else having this problem? It seems to be as bad with two wheel drive as four wheel and stock wheels and tires as after market.

It seems to be as bad with two wheel drive as four wheel and stock wheels and tires as after market. Why would a 2WD have a "hub assembly"? (or maybe I'm thinking of something different)

2wd uses a hub assembly as well.

Must be another cost cutting measure, the wife's avalanche front right hub just went at 45k miles. It took out the abs sensor, and the ebcm. That COST them money under the extended warranty.

Yep, I was thinking of something different, I guess I'm just too "old school" for my own good. To me a "hub assembly" on a truck always represented the wheel locking mechanicals on a 4WD. I keep forgetting that most wheel bearing assemblies with sealed bearings are also refered to as hub assemblies.

Sorry, my mistake. :o

Does anyone have the part number for the hubs? Is this an assembly or just the bearings? I have called the part store with no help. But it sounds like the bearings are bad in the front wheels. I have a 02 with 60K miles
