Without Some Sort Of Lift Yes.. Not Sure If Cranking T Bars Will Give You Enough Room, But I Dont Think So......dmaxallitech Wanna Take Over?

I know that the H2 tires and rims dont rub........315/70/17

I can only assume that a 305/75/16 or 315/75/16 would also clear....I have been wrong before though.

Anyone running 315/75R16 on the stock rims?Yes, I just put them on last week. I had 285-75-16's on stock wheels but burned them away when I got the predator. I decided to go with the Cooper Discovery ST in a 315-75-16 I had a one inch block in the back and the torsion bars cranked all the way, the tires rubbed on the air dam and the inner fender. I trimed the corner of the dam and the edge of the fenders and also tied them back with cable ties. No rubbing now, they look much better than the 285's but it definately slowed the truck down out of the hole. Thats ok though the preadator on 65hp will still smoke'm in 1st & 2nd:ro)

What do you mean by 1 inch block in the rear.....1" of room around the tire?

What do you mean by 1 inch block in the rear.....1" of room around the tire? A one inch block is put under the leaf spring pack to lift the rear suspension of the truck one inch. You dont need it to fit the 315-75-16's, but when you crank the torsion bars all the way up the truck will sit slightly higher in the front. A one inch block in the back will keep the truck sitting a little higher in the back.

Those 305's rubbed on everything, including the sway bar when turned

Wow! You were able to put a set of 35's without a lift?! Do you have any pics. Thanks, Nick

Dont go to too tall of a tire if you are going to be pulling a heavy load on the interstate or you get a bad sway to them......

The 305-70-16's are wider than the 315-75-16's it just barely touches the sway bar when the wheel is turned all the way to the left. I have pictures, I just have to figure out how to get them on the forum. I have done about 10, 3in body lifts on chevy trucks and have fitted 315's on them with no problem. I compaired my D/A with a truck I recently lifted and thought I could fit them also, it required more trimming but they do fit. I will try to post some pictures.

This is impossible.

305 is the tread width in mm so 315s are 10mm wider than the 305s.

A 305 is 12.0078 in wide at the tread.
A 315 is 12.4016 in wide at the tread.

What they measure out actually mounted is a different story. Assuming the same tire from the same manufacture a 315 will always be wider than a 305.

On the other hand putting such a tall and wide tire on such a narrow rim could effectively crown the tire so much that it changes its non-mounter dimensions conciderably.

Just for reference, a guy that works at Lynn Chevrolet in Waynesboro, Pa has a white 2500 HD gasser and he has 315's on stockers.

FYI if they are aluminium I would take them out immediately and replace them with a quality cast set or add-a-leaf. I have seen a few Al blocks crushed, cracked, and spit out on the highway when used on HD trucks.
