Ok guyes I want to here the turbo whine. Wondering about gutting the stock muffler and welding it back together if that would create turbo noise. Thought about just putting a straight pipe and taking the stock muffler off completly but trying to stay away from the noise due to my two 3 year old girls. I heard the LB7 is a little loud straight piped? Can someone chime in on this? Truck is in sig.

I have a MBRP muffler off my system (I straight piped it!) that I could sell you! It makes a great turbo whine on my LLY, but I wanted louder! I'm only 20, so no kids to affect decisions yet! LOL!

It sounds funny but i cut the muffler off, made up a 3" y pipe welded that in front of where i cut the muffler off. Put 3" duals from there out the back corners and welded 5" tips on them for looks. Sounds awesome IMO i am also only 20. The best part is you dont see anybody else with a setup like i have. It isnt hurtin anything either.

Get an AFE stage 2 intake, I had one on my 03 and it whistled pretty good. I added the exhaust and it was so loud it covered some of the whistle, but sill sounded good.

Get one of Nathan's twin turbo kits and you'll have plenty of whistle. The other day I was driving roughly alongside a friend for a several mile stretch. Speeds were anywhere from stop to about 50mph. Even with windows closed he could easily hear the turbo whistle. He's an airline pilot and told me it sounded like a jet engine.
