Pro's. makes your truck look tuff. boosts self confidence. better ground clearence.
Con's. lower fuel mileage.
I'd say go for it...
Anyone else................

Here is a good thread to read:
CST, Pro Comp, FabTech, or Cognito? Which should I go with. (http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/showthread.php?t=183173)
The pictures are very helpful.

I have to say that almost everyone puts a suspension on their truck for the look mostly. The ground clearance is nice but the look is what most of us are after. I am counting the days to put the Cognito 4-6" lift on with some 295/70/17 Nitto's.....good luck in your decision!

Its not the suspenion lift that improves ground clearence, its the tire size increase....

I think it boils down to what you like. I personally love my lift and would do it again in a heart beat.

True, but who keeps stock tires on a lifted truck

I had a 7" lift on my old '96 Chevy and I wish my truck now had a lift. :(
I miss the ground clearance I had at the dunes when cresting a hill....now I drag the belly.

Pros
Looks good
Better ground clearance
Can actually see down the road(see incidents before anyone else because you are higher)
Good ride quality
Cons
Worse mpg
Suspension issues
possible warranty voiding
tough to get into
tough to park
tires are more expensive and shocks too
Overall though, it is personal preferance. It is wierd because I never wanted a suspension lift on my truck but now that I have one I absolutely love it. Will get a lift again and again if I can.

ive had to many problems. mainly because of the bigger tires they cause so many steering problems. Other than that i like it. Mpg isnt to much difference. But if any one had a 2001 2500 duramax and wanted it lifted i would switch them and put mine at stock. Just to hard to work out of. But it sure looks sweet. Thats my two cents.

I'll take the suspention lift off of your hands and give you any stock parts. :D

I might just take you up on that. How hard is it to switch?
