This morning on the way into work (~5 degrees), I threw a code and the truck limped (won't go over 25 mph).
I checked the code using the Banks and it said that it was the MAP sensor. I cleared it, but it comes back immediately. Shortly after that, the Banks PDA started complaining that it couldn't communcate with the tuner.
I limped home and disconnected the tuner, but it's still in limp mode. Sounds like the sensor went out, but can't figure out why the tuner won't communicate. Could the tuner have went trashing the sensor? Is it common for the MAP sensor to fail? Anyone else have a similiar experience?

You may have some frozen condensation on the sensor. Pull it out and clean it off or take it back to the dealer and have them do it.

Thanks for the info. That was probably it. I haven't been running my grill cover, so that's going back on now (the lower part of the cover is a big PITA and it gets a little too warm if I tow with both on).
I saw the other posts concerning cold running problems (must have been the morning for it). It's been running all week on the same tank of fuel and it's been much colder and I haven't had a problem, so I don't think it was a gelling problem this AM.
It's been sitting out in the sun for a couple of hours and it's warmed up to almost 15 degrees. Started it up and it drove fine. Still has the CEL, but figure that will clear after a few cycles. After I put the cover on, I'll drive it a few miles to make sure everything is warmed up.
Thanks for the help!

Unless you live where it's -40 all the time, don't worry about the bumper cover. All it does is trap crap between itself and the bumper. The grille cover does a good enough job. It has been down to -20 here at times this winter and the trans temp still gets to almost 100.

Had mine changed by the dealer three times. They/I couldn't figure out what went wrong with it. So far the last time has been a charm.
