Can you get something better for that price to replace that truck?

Take it and run. There is an '89 extended cab 6.2 on eBay with an $1800 asking price and it's been listed, and listed, and listed - no sale.

Even if it's worth a little more than the $6000 it's worth the difference not to have to put up with all the jerks who bug you when you have a car for sale, offering rediculously small amounts for it, whining about this or that, or otherwise being stupid.

$6000 is some serious money for one of these things. If the guy comes up with the money, take it by all means...

didn't it cost $6k or more to do all the work you just completed? Why wouldn't you keep the thing and get your 200k miles out of it after all that work? Or do you just want to dump the truck anyway, and need to know what price to expect for it?

Because either way, you've got more money into it that it will ever sell for.
