MY wife has an 02 Suburban. Yesterday on the way to work she went to put the window up, heard a pop, then nothing but noise from the motor. Anyone have this problem, or taken the door apart? I hate to take it to the dealer and have to get a rental for a couple days.

The regulator cables broke most likely. The window is driven on a cable system and the cables will rust and fray, then break. We replace a bunch of them. Depending on your mileage, you may be able to convince the dealer to help you out with some warranty assistance. Repair should only take 2 hours total at the most.. Not a big deal to put it at all. Its all bolt in stuff

You are correct, I took the Suburban to my son who does radio installs and had him take the door apart. Broken Cable. 41k, but only have it 31 months. Maybe the dealer will show some mercy.
