Had check engine light come on today. Took it to the dealer, said it was some kind of electric code from #3 injector. Second time this has happened (same injector about three weeks ago). Truck ran like it was running on 6 cylinders at an idle and take off. Seemed to run smooth after take off. Service light has gone off since and now truck seems to be running good again.

Appointment on tuesday to get the injectors replaced was made today. Question is does this seem like the right diagnosis and has anyone else experienced this? Sorry no code # forgot to ask.

Probably a bad injector. I have seen the nut come loose on the top where the wire connects to the injector also.

I recently purchased a 2004 2500 HD D/A Silverado. I now have 9800 miles on it and have developed an injector problem. The dealer tells me he has none in stock and it will take two days to two months to get a replacement. Anyone having or has had this problem?????? :mad: :rant:

your truck is a 2004 , but which engine do you have? Injectors aren't too hard to come by these days.
