: Need mud flaps front and rear
vetterdstr 01-14-2005, 10:01 PM For my 2004 Chevrolet Dually... keep in mind that the front has the molding and the dealership added step/bar that starts just behind the front wheels... I am looking for a good looking kit that WORKS!! I am getting tired of cleaning the damn thing up after each trip to the mountains... Any help would be appreciated. :)
TIA, VR
robbdmax 01-14-2005, 11:39 PM You can find mud flaps here. They are the stock GM flaps and they make some to go with the factory wheel flares. I have them on my truck. Not sure about clearance for the nerf bars though. http://www.gmpartsdirect.com/
vetterdstr 01-15-2005, 09:29 AM Thanks for the reply!! I looked up the flaps and they sound like what I need.. they dont have any pics of the items though... does anyone have a pic of what they look like or know how they fit?
Thanks in Advance!! VR :)
sgtrogerp3 01-15-2005, 11:18 AM after noticing about thirty chips in the paint on the strip running under the front & rear doors on both sides from rocks kicking up, i installed a set of husky flaps. they use existing holes and i have no complaints (they do recommend drilling an additional hole, but the two existing holes hold just fine).
TheBac 01-15-2005, 01:50 PM Just search the forum for mudflaps....lots of guys running different types. Husky's, GM's, Duraflaps, etc.....

RickDLance 01-15-2005, 02:46 PM I have had the Husky flaps on 3 trucks and love them.

I have Duraflaps. Best ones I've had on. They don't sail and keep the crap down.

BluMax 02-05-2005, 03:43 PM Just installed front & rear flaps on my 2004 D/Max. Duraflaps are the best I've ever run. Dennis & Nina are great to deal with.

coyotekid 02-05-2005, 05:26 PM I'll chime in for the Duraflaps as well. Good stuff with good looks!
weaverism 02-05-2005, 06:14 PM Just got the duraflaps. They will outlast the truck. Much more flap than I expected for the money. 10% discount for forum members.
bartman 02-05-2005, 08:19 PM I have the Husky molded flaps front and rear. The rears have a nice lip that extends a little past the outer fender to catch mud and debris before it hits the sides. I got them from pickupspecialties.com for about $130.00 front and rear. Be sure to specify that you want the ones for trucks with front fender flares. Had them in about 3 days.
kbstinky 02-05-2005, 09:21 PM What makes Duraflaps great,is that Dennis will bend over backwards to make you happy. Tell him you want it a little different, and it's done.
I vote Duraflap.
homer8 02-28-2005, 10:59 AM installed aftermarket wheels which poked the front tires out about a 1.5. and threw everthing i ran threw past the stock gmc flaps. finally found these flaps 14x27 fronts and 12x22 rears. kaydenco.com 514 471 7048 this guy will make any size.
flivver 02-28-2005, 11:11 AM Is anyone running the H2 takeoffs (315) with flaps on the front. Any rubbing issues?
SPICER 02-28-2005, 11:13 AM I will chime in too. The Duraflaps are tops, hands down. I called Dennis with a specific need (extra long flaps because I pull a travel trailer and want to keep it clean). Dennis is able to custom make a flap very easily. He is a GREAT resource to consult. He will help you figure out what you need, just tell him what you are looking for and if it is not a standard design, he will do it custom for no extra charge. I wanted 3.25 inches longer than their longest. Done. And they mount to the factory holes. No drilling! SPICER
number9 02-28-2005, 11:23 AM Anyone have some good pics of the Duraflaps? Would be nice to see a set on a whilte HD.
Burner 02-28-2005, 11:39 AM Those husky things are really hard on the paint, they'll even chew through the buffer tape. And, they are not long enough.
towin43 02-28-2005, 11:53 AM I have the GM flaps and would not go that route again. The fronts fit if you have the factory nerf bars. I'm not a fan because they are not long enough and the rears stick out too far...makes the truck look like it has a bubble butt.
