Okay guys, just had a couple of questions about exhaust... If I was to buy an exhaust system and I wanted to keep the sound somewhat close to stock and little to no highway drone what would system would I look into?
My main criteria:
1) Sound, close to stock but I'm okay with a nice throaty exhaust sound
2) Drone, I'd go crazy hearing drone on the highway

You may want to start with a cat-back MBRP. See if that gets you where you want to be, if not, you can always add the front-pipe (cat-delete) later.

Here's some sounds of an MBRP cat back. Couple vids in there of inside and outside.

It really is a nice sounding system.

MBRP's are nice...but the low price for Magnaflow in stainless got me, fit/finish/welded hangers/band clamps were all very nice. Cat back in 5" gives me exactly everything you said you wanted, minimal drone (more like a rumble) in 5th and 6th. Actually whistles pretty good for what it is. Adding a front pipe later can/has been done. Getting noticeable power gain, slight mpg gain (.5-1mpg so far). Actually seems to be getting louder (??)!

I am running the 4" turbo back exhaust, and have a very slight drone at about 35 mph. At hiway speed, anywhere from 50 - 85 mph cruise, it sounds exactly like stock in the cab
Thanks for the response... I have looked into the MBRP T409 system, seems to be what I'm looking for.

That's what I installed (Cat-back). It sounded a lot like stock, so I removed the muffler. Now it has a little more sound, but still no drone. The MBRP setup is easy to install and looks nice, too.:D
Might be a dumb question, but will I notice any MPG gain by installing an exhaust system?

You may notice a slight gain, but dont be looking for 3-4 mpg out of it. Your biggest mileage gains will come from a tuner.

What is your price for the MBRP T409 system? You can PM me if you want.
