ok i have a problem with my tpm system. i have 18,983 miles on my tires and truck. my system keeps telling me that my system is loosing signal to the sensors. first it was the front right tire had it replaced under warranty 2 days later the rear right tire goes out of signal. the three stealerships in my area dont understand y this is happening. they also said that i should change these everytime i change my tires. i asked well ok then how much are they each? they said $66.39 each. i then said then GM needs to put better damn tires on from factory. one tech said that the batteries may be dieing in them. i said at 19,000 miles the damn things going dead. what the hell? well anyways is there a way to just get rid of the tpm system? god im not lazy i know how to check my tires i dont need this stupid system just one more thing for gm to make money off of us all. has anyone else have this happen the sensors going bad that is.

Out here the sensors are worthless. You go down a gravel road and the dirt settles in the flats of the rims on your car/pickup or get a little mud in the rims and they have to be washed out. I here more people complain about the systems than like them. The guy I work with has an 07 nissan and hes had to have one or two replaced and has to drive up to the dealer to get them warrantied.

TPM = :badidea: = Thank you Ford and Firestone.

For dedicated snow tires just bought a set of brand new take off GM 2008 factory mags for less than it will cost to buy sensors for them. Seriously thinking I will NOT buy sensors for them. I have to clear the flashing dash everytime I start the truck anyway for "LOW" rear tire pressure.

I hate these stupid sensors! There I feel better, I waste more time trying to get them reset than it is worth for sure.

I have an Impala SS that came with pressure sensors on 18" wheels. Nice idea but real PITA — especially when cold temps cause fluctuations in tire pressures. Right now, one is not working at all — still under warranty and will insist this time that they be replaced.

These little sensors suck. I'm ready to deal with the light because they keep going out.
