That's what I saw for the first time in 4 years, pulling out if the drive this morning.
I think it may be to the drastic temp swings we have been having.
50's one day and 12 hrs later in the 20's.
I did have 1/2 a tank, so it;s not like I recently filled up.
Any other Michiganders experience this ?

Are you sure you are getting a valid message? Drain some fuel out of the bottom of the filter into a glass jar, then look for water.
I'm now on my third accumulator as of a week ago. I kept getting the WIF message, but never had any water in the fuel. After the second install, the message would only display when the engine was cold and the temp was below 40 degrees. It would sometimes go away after tapping the filter. Time will tell if the third accumulator is the fix. It may be a bad connection in the mount or elsewhere.
Please let us know what you find.

I had the same problem. I drained the water and it still had the warning. I unplugged the WIF sensor and the light went out. Replaced the water in fuel sensor and haven't had a problem since.

We have had a bunch of rain & snow melt in S/E MI this past week. Very posssible you got some bad fuel. I'd drain the fuel filter, fill'er up with fuel, add some additive and see if problem goes away.

What are some of the better additives to use for water? If you suspect that you already have water in fuel?

you get the condensation when it goes from cold to hot not the other way round.. here where i am it went from 25-30 wed night-thursday morn, up to 67 on thursday, back snow on the ground and 25 degrees by friday morning, i had no fuel issues. i would guess you either got bad fuel, or just an accumulation of water over time, i used to drain my filter once a month to check for water, havent found any yet!
Happened again today.
Drained fuel out of both the stock and the Racor filter.
Not much water....maybe a couple of beads in the jar.
Pulled the water in fuel wires one at a time and determined it was the Racor sender.
Changed the Racor filter and wiped the bowl and sensor....filled it up and started....sheesh still there.
I guess it's the sensor in the Racor bowl....I'll have to see about getting another.
It was the sensor..new one in, and prob gone.
