I should be getting my Predater in the next few days and I want to add an EGT gauge. I have seen the pillar mounts and the overhead mount, problem is I only want to add the EGT and most soulutions are for 2 gauges.

Has anyone used the singe gauge mount from Autometer that mounts on top of the steering column? I like this option because is puts the gauge where I will be looking for other info and you can't see it from outisde. I am looking for input from those that have used it: did you like it, did it cause trouble seeing the rest of the dash?

Thanks for the help in advance.

Well from personal experience you will want a boost gauge too. Just so you can see what your truck is doing. Why are you concerned with people being able to see it from outside? I don't really see a problem there other than it will make people want to race you all the time as they will think your truck is fast....lol

Talk to Jeremy(moss022) He had a steering colom pod from autometer and wasnt impressed IIRC.

Talk with Guy directly(trippin), he may be willing to whittle you out a 1 gauge deal for the over head mount(you might be stuck painting it or something though???). Or get an oil temp or something like that to fill the hole if you dont want to run a boost gauge.

Thanks guys, I think I will do the boost too. Those overhead (Trippin) mounts look really nice.

Trippins' mount is really kool, but this is how I mounted my Spa. It's a gauge cup mounted to the A-pillar and sets next to the pillar instead of poking out of it; sorry never did like the A-pillar gauge mounts.
