Let me first start off saying, your people rule. Everyone I have'd talk to via PM, E-Mail, AIM etc.. (even the vendors) have been more than helpful. Cheers to all of you http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/images/smilies/rockon.gif .

Making some final decisions.

I know you've heard this farrrr to many times..Although what I have in store may differ from some people asking this question..

Edge vs Predator - (this is a big change considering I was stuck on Banks)
Let me tell you what I have in store first - based off research and feedback.

Im not daily tow'er, although the occasional runs to Glamis and 4x hot spots, you'll see my 77 K5 Blazer or Quad exiting an toyhauler everynow and then..outside of everyday work and commute..its my driver.

Airwise - AFE? K&N? - when it comes out. Exhaust wise, Im looking at MBRP single and a local company to home B&B Exhaust (http://www.bbexhaust.com/). Im heading to their home tommorow and going to take a more detailed look at their product and see what I can score. I had their product on my 2500HD 6.0 and sounded awesome and have had good luck with other products..although not too familar with their diesel set up.

I plan on adding AutoMeter gauges in a Pod/Pillar type set up. (Boost/Pyro etc.) Aswell as adding Super Diesels LLY Intake Manifold. So in terms of the Attitude monitor, no doubt its awesome product, I dont want this to be apart of the decision making process between the two programmers. Edge seems to have bugs everynow and then, and seems to be hit and miss with some people. Although it does have those "safe" features...that Predator does'nt have..(would a careful eye on the Pyro gauge solve this?) Based off my plans and what I do...Im lost between the two http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/images/smilies/confused.gif

I also plan on doing the full ATS tranny http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/images/smilies/hihi.gif come late spring/summer. With this, I come to hear the TTS Extreme is expected to release come summer, this being my next addition to the truck. Following this is a upgraded fuel pump. (SD's set up)

Propane following the TTS...and then? We'll just see how melted the plastic is in the wallet by then. It seems as if I wore-off the strip off my bank card as of recently just ordering cosmetic stuff.

If any of you can give any better direction or as John @ DPS put it, "Never again will I...." or I'd rather of done this....or in your case...etc..

Any direction is better than none. For the ones who have already helped, you guys rock! http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/images/smilies/rockon.gif

Welcome to the club.
As far as programers. I would pick Edge. Percantage wise of happy costumers they are the best and their costumer service is excellent. I have both but use the Preditor for mainly diagnostics and changing the limits on the truck. I was not happy with the way it shifted on the Preditor.
MBRP looks like a great product and many here will agree. I have the Banks on mine but this was before MBRP came out. I am happy with what I have.
Gauges are great to have. I have a redundant set up but this is mainly for a second opinion somtimes and ease of veiwing somtimes also.
There are plenty here to help with the tranny and propane and or nitro. If adding these two along with the programer you will definatly need the tranny upgrade. For ease and less electronics the Suncaost is my choice of trannies but there are some others that are bringing out some big news soon.

Since you already plan on a tranny upgrade, I'd do that before adding power. I'd also add gauges and the exhaust somewhere between now and getting the extreme. I would waste money on a "meantime" programer. Driving a stock truck sucks, but the extreme is worth the wait...

I would add gauges, and exhaust, leave the stock intake, do the trans(I would also look at suncoast for your plans) and either wait for the extreme or if you cant wait buy a predator for the mean time/play time and sell it off when you get the extreme or keep it for the diagnostics. You will be in need of air I would assume when you get the extreme so pane is useless unless you add some air with spray or a different turbo. I would wait on the programer if you can......also might want to talk to Steve at TTS. If you buy a lower tune NOW he might cut you a deal of some sorts on the Extreme? The TTS program dosnt seem hit or miss, every body seems to like its driveability
