I just bought a new set of CIPA #10800 slip-on custom towing mirrors for my '02. Problem is, I cannot seem to get these mirrors to fit. It appears that the wedges are too thick and won't let me snap the upper part of mirror onto my truck. It seems like if I try to force it furthur that something may break. And if I do manage to get it on, it probably would be impossible for me to remove it without breaking something. Yes, I did have the L & R wedges in correct position. Does anyone have this similar problem?

Had same problem on my 07 Classic. Purchased TTT Mirrors and problem solved. Will return CIPAs to Camping World.

My father in law has those things on his 02. I drove it once and vowed that I would never have those things on my truck. The CIPA replacement mirrors, 06 mirrors or the TTT's (best choice) are all much better than the slip-off's.
I had them for my Dodge and they worked fine! They are not a high-tech unit...kind of a get what you pay for item!

Used the CIPA'S on my 02 Z-71 and 04 Suburban (same mirrors) and they worked great! Since I traded up to a 5th wheel , I now have a Dually with tow mirrors so I don't use the CIPA'S any more. The only thing that I can think of is that you don't have the proper model mirrors for your vehicle...........they shouldn't be that hard to put on and take off!!.......double check that out..........good luck!
