I see a bunch of guys on here talking about replacing their guages with a cluster from an escalade, etc. What I have been wandering is if the cluster is the only place that mileage and engine hours are recorded? Is it recorded anywhere else in the trucks computers? If you go to sell the truck and the mileage is off by even a little and they plug it into some kind of a computer and there is a discrepency, would you be prosecuted for odometer tampering? I like the look of the replacement guages but I don't want to get in trouble or have my warranty voided. Any thoughts? Thanks.
