The rear window latch on my wifes truck broke off last week. The dealer had the whole window replaced by a local glass company and the guy totaly screwed it up. Not only is the window not centered in the opening, the front part is in way too far and the latch side is out too far, so the stupid thing leaks air! I called the dealer about it, but the guy that installed it is on vacation and wont be able to fix it untill the 25th CensoredCensored
How does the door come apart, and whats involved in getting to the window to adjust it??? Do you need any special tools or anything? I really dont want to listen to my wife's Censored for another week :(
thanks

The window and frame are a one part assembly that are held in with urethane, just like a windshield.

Max, is there anyway to adjust the window then? or will they have to order another one? Is this a common for the latches to break?

No adjustments, will need to be replaced and installed correctly. These things get replaced quite alot due to air leaks, and I have seen quite a few latches broken too.

Max, thank you very much for the info! I was going to tear into it to see if I could save myself a trip to the dealer but I'm not even going to bother now.
I appreciate the help!
