Looking at all the new cars coming out in the next few years, and I came across this. http://www.hummer.com/hummerjsp/home.jsp?seo=goo_hummer_brand
Man, finely a hummer with a bed that is actually useful. If they would put the 4.5L in one of these I would really condider it. I really wanted a 1/2 ton with a diesel, but this may change my mind. It is longer then the original H3 and i hope with the diesel the tow rating would go up as well.
Just thought I'd share, feel free to tell me what you think.

i was hoping it was going to be like the one at the auto show a few years back. An acutal truck with a reg cab and longer box instead of the "SUT" style. too bad.

but this would still make for an awesome ride. just the price is what would kill me. i was playin around on the Hummer web site and made a Hummer H3 Alpha for $42,000+ dont want to see what the H3T would be.

it does have a 5' bed which is better than the H2 SUT. we may look at one after they come out.
We built the dies to make the bed and the new roof for the H3T so I've seen this stuff for a while.
also the Alpha comes w/ the lux stuff which is leather and all the fancy electronics and cast iron front axle so that's one reason the price is higher.
Our H3 was $27,000 and has the offroad package which you have to get if you want to play off raod.
Anyone notice the locking front axle on the H3T? that'll help a lot offroading.

Do you think if there is enough response from this, Hummer would maybe come out with a true full size, either 1/2 ton or bigger. I really like the look of the hummers, but this truck is a bit small for pulling heavy loads. I would like to see a H2T with a five foot bed and crew cab with a diesel. Now that would be cool.
