How long does a stuck open injector take to wipe out a cylinder?
Say the injector was stuck open at idle. And ran for 5 minutes.
Trying to determine if any damage was done to my truck. Stuck open Injector replaced. Compression checked fine.
Have this "odd" knock on the GO pedal from 1500-2500 rpms.
Dealer stated cylinder #8 looked mint and compression is fine, after faulty re manufactured injector failed, 1 week after replacement.
I am not trusting the sounds from my engine.

Ours took one revolution to damage the engine to the point GM replaced it.
