Mobil 1 Truck & SUV 5w-40 syn in the winter, & will probably switch back to Mobil Delvac 1300 Super 15w-40 in the spring, since I get good oil analysis results with it compared to other oils. Mobil 1 filter.

First oil change was at 1K miles. Used Delvac 1300 and AC filter. Second was at 3K and I used Chevron Delvo 400 (what the shop has) and Baldwin. Next will be at 6K with Delvac 1300 (use up what's in the garage) and Baldwin. At 10K I'm switching to either Amsoil or Mobil/Delvac 1 (not decided yet) and go every 5K after that. I found a deal on Baldwin filters in 6 lots so the next 6 changes will be Baldwin.

Does the lack of API certification on Amsoil put the warranty at risk? Everything seems to indicate it's a better oil than Delvac 1, but I'm nervous about having an oil that meets the spec but isn't certified to the spec.

Mobile 1 oil (5w-40) and Mobile 1 oil filter, heck I've got Mobile 1 in every lubrication related part on my truck it seems. I could almost be a driving advertisement for them ):h good stuff though all kidding aside.

I've always been running Shell Rotella and Substitute in a quart of Lucas Stabilizer, AC Delco Filter. Never Burns Oil, increase in fuel mileage. My oil is always clean. Ask any of the guys with dump trucks or semi's, they all say Shell Rotella.

amsoil 15w40 fram filter. i change every 10,000 miles

Do a search for Fram oil filters. They're not exactly the favorite choice of most Diesel Place members. :)

I went with Mobil Delvac 1
... you can go 60,000 miles between filter changes.
......closely monitored and controlled fleets performing Mobil Delvac 1 oil drains at up to 100,000 miles.
