My new LMM sounds like a sqeeky rubber balloon. Everytime I hit a bump I can hear the rubber seals on the rear doors sqeek. This is my first crew cab, is this normal?

welcome to the wonderful world of these new trucks, there has been complaints about this all over. My 08 GMC CC squeeked like crazy, my Chevy Squeeks like crazy... it's not uncommon, just turn the radio up, they all do it.

Now the dash rattle others complain about is at idle and can be fixed, mine usually goes away with a good bop! to the left side of the dash.

Tire wet or a dry lubri**** - graphite spray I found works the best. Make sure you pull the weatherstripping back and get under it too! Good luck.

Silicone lubricant on the weatherstripping works great for the wooden boat creaking sound.

X2, but relief is only temporary. I think I have isolated it to the top of door weather strip, at least on my CC.

Mine doesn't squeak at all on bumps. It will occasionally going through a dip or trough-type driveway at an angle. These are long, stiff trucks and when you try to "twist" them through a dip, something has to move. Shouldn't on bumps, though. You sure you don't have anything laying about that is squeaking? I thought I had a rattle the other day, but it was just one set of the headphones in the back of the passenger seat.

LMM Crew Cab Squeaks

There is a post in here, I think in the DIY section about adjusting the back doors. With all doors closed, push in where the front door meets the rear door. If it moves in it needs to be adjusted. Easy fix, Good luck I hope it works will for you.

On my LBZ I had a squeek every time I hit a bump coming from the back seat area. I thought it was the seats, lubed everything I could still the squeak persists. Took me weeks but chased it down to the plastic piece that is on the back wall of the crew cab. The plastic piece had not been pushed all the way in and the tabs were squeaking against the back wall. Pushed the tabs all the way in and bam no more squeak. If the LMM's have this plastic piece I would look there.

Mine squeaks too. It's definitely coming from the passenger side.

Clean the crap out of them. I used silicone spray and did it like 5 times in a two week period. No more squeaks now. I haven't cleaned them for over 3 months now and still no squeaks. You have to use a bit of elbow grease, but you should be able to get rid of the noise. There was a whitish film on some of them, I had to rub that off. It was driving crazy until I fixed. Good luck.

Thanks for all of the responses! Yes, it's more when the truck does a dip than when it hits a bump. When you are hitting bumps on both the right and left side you will hear the "wooden boat creak." (I love that term!! LOL) I'll try this silicone solution first. Hopefully that will work.

THANKS AGAIN TO ALL WHO ANSWERED!

Ive noticed the white film on the door seals as well. Is your noise squeak still completely gone Duratime, after using the silicone spray to clean the seals?

Anyone else used the silicone spray and have also had successful results? Good idea on this thread topic 1stgear.

Mine will give out a squeak now and again if the rear seats are up, but not when down. GM recommends dialectric grease...thicker paste silicone that is used to seal out moisture in electrical connectors.

Yes mine is still gone about 99.9% of the time. It squeaked one time a couple weeks ago when it was cold and rainy, but it hasn't done it again. I have had the squeak from the rear seat, but only sometimes. I haven't tried to do anything about the rear seat squeak. It does take quite a bit of cleaning/lubricating with the silicone spray on the doors. The noise was more like a thudding sound than a squeak. It was doing it around the drivers side b-pillar so it was right in my ear while driving. It was driving me insane, but all is good now.

Mine does it on the drivers side. The dealer sprayed a little silicon spray on it one time but it is back. I notice it more when I am off pavement and driving through some uneven ground. Looks like I am going to have to spray it again. I had an extended cab GMC 1500 that would drive you crazy squeaking.

I takes more than just spraying. I scrubbed it with a terry towel coated with silicone and then finished it off with a light spraying of silicone when I was done. I did this 3 to 4 times in a two week period. I spent about 10 min. each time. Give it a try, silicone spray is pretty cheap.

I use silicone oil. I don't know where to get it (it's a work thing). Works pretty good for a few months. It has been good on this truck. I had a car that had the creaks and after 3 or 4 good applications it went away.

Thanks for the info Duratime. When the weather gets better I will have to try that, because I am getting tired of the squeak.

I had same noise issues with mine. Wiped silicone on all the door seals and no more squeaks. Been a few months and still have not returned. Had this same issue with my last crew cab(ford).
